OK, so today I started a couple of new projects sewing.
The first one is making a skirt from my friend Zoey. I’m basing it on these instructions: http://nothingtoofancyblog.blogspot.com.au/2013/06/finally.html and making it out of yellow cotton fabric. Thus far, I’ve cut out the pieces and ironed on the interfacing – note to self – the shiny side isn’t the glue side 🙂
My second project is to make Christmas stockings for the children. I saw this fabric: https://www.myfabrics.co.uk/16-7240-01_christmas-mushroom.html and decided it would be great! So I’ve also cut out pieces for that – pattern from http://so-sew-easy.com/christmas-stockings-tutorial/
Didn’t manage to actually start sewing, so maybe at the weekend I’ll manage to – I don’t like using the machine too late, for fear of disturbing the neighbours 😀

I would love to sew, but some how I just can`t. I did start kniting though. But what I am going to start in the new year is a Teddy.

I’ve only started recently – did some at school, but got a sewing machine recently – just a cheap one from IKEA, but enjoying i all immensely! Finished the skirt the other night, and the stockings tonight 🙂 Must post pics!
